Exploring Epigenetic Changes in the Development of Gemcitabine Resistance [SW1990R_vs_SW1990_RRBS]

To elucidate the DNA methylation alterations during the development of gemcitabine resistance in pancreatic cancer cells, we utilized both the parental SW1990 cells and their gemcitabine-resistant derivatives, SW1990R cells, to examine DNA methylation patterns. We employed reduced representation bisulfite sequencing (RRBS) assays to uncover the specific CpG methylation profiles. Overall design: To establish gemcitabine-resistant (Gem-R) PDAC cell lines, a progressive exposure to increasing concentrations of gemcitabine was employed. RRBS experiment was utilized for exploration of CpG methylation landscapes.
