In order to optimize educational practices among teachers and education specialists, it is crucial to understand how intervention programs aimed at improving inhibition, cognitive flexibility, working memory, and attentional control enhance literacy skills by gender. In this pilot study, we evaluated the impact of an intervention targeting first- and second-grade students, employing an experimental and cross-sectional design with both a control group and an experimental group. We conducted pre- and post-intervention assessments. Despite being a pilot study, the analyzed cognitive skills may be crucial for enhancing literacy skills, providing a solid foundation for future research.
