The data set was acquired with a ship-based Simrad EM1002 multibeam sonar system. The files are in MBSystem format and were generated as part of a project called Investigating the Distribution of Hydrothermal Activity and its Geologic and Geophysical Controls at the Lau Integrated Studies Site. Funding was provided with NSF award OCE07-32536.
