LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF MODERN GENERATION INTERNET SLANG

By the twenty-first century, the internet and social networks had begun to exert a tremendous influence not only on human consciousness, but also on language itself. Owing to social media, hundreds of new slang units emerge in communication every day. A large proportion of them are associated with representatives of modern generations. From this perspective, the present article analyzes slang units introduced into usage by representatives of Generation X, Generation Z, Generation Alpha, and Generation Beta.
