The rice weevil, Sitophilus oryzae is one of the primary stored grain pests that infests food grains. Fumigation with phosphine has been the primary method to control the storage pests. But the frequent usage has led to the development of phosphine resistance. Although the mechanism of phosphine resistance has been understood and molecular diagnostic tools have been developed, the transcriptome analysis will aid in extensive understanding of phosphine resistance in S. oryzae
