This dataset provides monthly mean air pressure data for China at a 1 km spatial resolution, covering January to December 2000. The data is based on monthly mean station air pressure records from 824 national reference and basic meteorological stations across China during January–December 2000. After strict quality control and screening, the national 1 km resolution topographic DEM was used as a covariate, and spatial interpolation was conducted using the Thin Plate Spline (TPS) method in the ANUSPLIN software, generating monthly 1 km×1 km grid data of China's land surface for the target period. All data are stored as int16 type for convenient storage, with a unit of 0.1 hPa. Each annual dataset includes 12 data files, named using the format of year + month; for example, 20001 corresponds to the data for January 2000. The spatial scope of this dataset covers the main terrestrial areas of China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions), excluding regions such as the South China Sea islands and reefs.
