The cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. LKSZ1 was isolated from the surface water of Suzukake Pond at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Its genome was extracted and sequenced using the PacBio Revio from Bioengineering Lab. Ltd. The raw sequence reads were assembled into a circular genome using the B-assembler. The assembled genome was further annotated using DFAST v. 1.6.0.
