Transcriptomic profiling of 4 th instar larvae of Spodoptera litura in response to heat stress

The 4th instar S. litura larvae were exposed to heat stress at 44 degree celsius for 4 h maintaining humidity (60 %) controlled incubator and control larvae were maintained at 27 degree celsius. Both heat stressed and control larvae were immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen (-196 degree celsius). Later, Total RNA was isolated from both the treatment and control samples using the TRIzol reagent method and transcriptome analysis was performed.
