VPRS 15799 Memorandums of Transfer

This series consists of packages recording the transfer of Crown leases between individuals. Most usually these were for the leased portion of a selection under the Sale of land Act 1860. The packets contain often the original lease as issued by the Crown, the certificate of Title as issued by the Titles Office and the signed and detailed memorandum of transfer. This memorandum includes the names of the parties, the location and extent of the piece of land and any reference numbers from the Department of Crown Lands and Survey or the Titles Office.The records in the P1 consignment relate to transfers to two individuals in the parishes of Watgania and Parrie Yalloak.
