Probiotic properties and genomic analysis of Lactiplantibacillus argentoratensis and Weissella cibaria isolated from pig feces

The objectives of this study are to isolate and screen probiotics from swine feces, evaluate their functional properties using in vitro assays, including antibacterial activity against significant enteric pathogens of swine such as E. coli, and select the most promising strains as probiotics for swine feed supplements. Whole-genome sequencing is also performed to gain a better understanding of the characteristics of the selected probiotic strains.
