Rightmost is Lamuu Simaa, the fourth from right in the back row is the shepherd Turaa Guutee, in the front row to the right is Zewditu Barkeesaa, in the middle Gutddataa Desta (in a black vest) with his wife. Next to Guddataa with crossed arms is Hermann Hornbostel's apprentice Dheeressaa Batoo. In the background palm trees and to the right the thatched mission house are visible.; Hermann Hornbostel (1913-1985) was a carpenter. He served the Hermannsburg mission in Ethiopia from 1934 to 1941 and from 1951 to 1956. He was interned by the British from 1942 to 1948. Hornbostel was married to Gertrud, née Tangermann.
