St. Croix Watershed Water Temperature Profiling 2024

St. Croix International Waterway Commission was tasked with establishing an ongoing water temperature monitoring network at key locations within the St. Croix watershed. Its scope includes several locations along the mainstem of the St. Croix River while also focusing on smaller tributaries and areas that may prove significant to fish passage, cold-water refugia, and viable spawning habitat for key native species. The monitoring study has included deployments initiated in the spring and retrievals in late fall. This approach ensures coverage of peak migration periods and critical seasonal temperature variations.
