In this study, we used perchlorate growth medium to enrich perchlorate reducing bacterial consortium to effectively reduce perchlorate in anaerobic bioreactors for 180 days. By metagenomic analysis, uncultured, rare, high quality and near-complete draft genomics were acquired using metagenomic binning based on used sequence composition-independent information. We binned genomes by divided different GC content and coverage and obtained three related draft genomes even including rare (<1% relative abundance) species. The combination of chemical, genomic, and functional analysis helpfully identified the biocatalytic approach for perchlorate remediation.
