资源简介:
This research study focuses on studying behavior and problems related to Transit-Oriented Development residences’ use of Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit Blue Line (the MRT Blue Line). The objective is to increase the use of MRT Blue Line services by those who reside within 1 kilometer from each station of the MRT Blue Line. The study includes analyzing six factors, which are Density, Design, Distance, Diversity, Destination Accessibility, and Demand Management. Data was collected through online questionnaires from 400 residents who are living near the 38 stations of the MRT Blue Line, especially those who use less than 2 days per week or choose the other mode of transportation instead. The study analyzed factors using binary logistic regression analysis through SPSS software. The research found after conducting a One-way ANOVA analysis, in which it was found that occupation and marital status does not affect the use of MRT Blue Line by the Transit-Oriented Development residents. Meanwhile, those with a monthly income between 20,001 - 30,000 baht are more likely to use public transportation than those with a monthly income between 60,001 - 70,000, who walk the least. In addition to the tendency to use the MRT Blue Line, females, those between 31-40 years old, and those with bachelor's degrees tend to use the MRT Blue Line. Apart from the demographic factors, two of the six Transit-Oriented factors, which are Design and Distance, also have an impact on the use of the MRT Blue Line by the residents nearby the 38 stations of the MRT Blue Line.
