A Survey on Health Care Access During the COVID-19 Pandemic

This data contains individual survey responses on health care access during the COVID-19 pandemic conducted in June 2020. The aim of this survey was to examine how different ways of presenting information about universal health coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic affect people’s attitudes about moving the predominately private US health system in the direction of public health insurance coverage and investigate people's attitudes related to the COVID-19 issue. The survey includes the following sections: message framing experiment, health reform, COVID-19 stimulus, policy response, personal response, personal worry about COVID-19, media, mental health, impact of COVID-19 on child/elderly care, ideology, cultural cognition, rumors, and demographic questions. The data collection was implemented by using the Qualtrics online panel. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of University at Albany. A consent form at the beginning and a debriefing message at the end of the survey were provided.
