"PitayaPath: A Dragon Fruit Disease Image Dataset for Intelligent Agriculture is a real-world agricultural image dataset developed to support research in plant disease detection, computer vision, and artificial intelligence\u2013driven crop monitoring systems. The dataset contains approximately 400 high-quality images of dragon fruit (Pitaya) plant leaves and stems collected under natural field conditions.The images were personally collected by the author through field visits to Kulal Dragon Fruit Farm located in Bidal, Taluka Man, District Satara, Maharashtra, India. The dataset captures real agricultural conditions including variations in lighting, background, plant orientation, and disease progression. All images were captured using a Motorola smartphone camera during direct on-site observation of dragon fruit plants.The dataset includes five plant health categories, namely Anthracnose, Brown Spot (Early Infection), Stem Canker, Stress, and Healthy samples. These categories represent visually identifiable symptoms observed on dragon fruit plants, such as fungal lesions, infection spots, stem damage, discoloration, and physiological stress.Before release, the images were carefully cleaned, resized, and organized into class-specific folders, and duplicate or corrupted images were removed. The dataset is provided in JPEG format along with a metadata file (CSV) containing image labels and dimensions.This dataset can be used for plant disease classification, deep learning model development, precision agriculture applications, and crop health monitoring systems, providing valuable real-world data for advancing AI-based agricultural research and sustainable farming practices."
