Survey Data on Platform Participation and Subjective Selfhood among Chinese University Students
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains responses from 410 Chinese university students collected through an online questionnaire administered in late 2023. The survey explored three types of digital platform participation—participation frequency, interactive behavior, and creative contribution—and their associations with three subjective dimensions: perceived agency, autonomy, and creative selfhood. The dataset includes cleaned, anonymized responses and supports the analyses reported in the manuscript titled "The Participation Paradox: Creative Engagement and Digital Subjectivity on Chinese Platforms" submitted to the Asian Journal of Communication. The questionnaire was distributed via university-affiliated WeChat and QQ groups with institutional ethical clearance.
