Brazilian bryophytes: a national-scale comprehensive dataset of species richness and geographic distribution

In this study, we present a dataset comprising more than 100,000 bryophyte occurrence records from Brazil, encompassing all three bryophyte phyla across a wide range of biomes. The dataset integrates taxonomic, spatial, and temporal information and provides a valuable resource for analyses of species richness, geographic distribution, taxonomic representativeness, and collecting effort over time. Furthermore, it serves as a foundation for future research in biodiversity, conservation, macroecology, biogeography, and ecological modeling.
