This study examines the transcriptomic response of Spodoptera frugiperda larvae exposed to Simarouba glauca bark extract, which demonstrated significant mortality and antifeedant activity. Transcriptomics was conducted to identify differentially expressed genes and molecular pathways involved in the toxic and deterrent effects of the extract. High-throughput sequencing was performed using the Illumina platform with paired-end reads. The findings provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the bioactivity of Simarouba glauca, contributing to the development of eco-friendly pest management strategies.
