rHEALPIX Experimental Results for contrasting algorithms

This record captures what algorithmic strategies best handled particular features of input data. The algorithms computed the rHEALPIX cell representations of geospatial objects. Input data includes Koche Snowflakes (Fractals) and ABS Statistical Area Level 2 for Victorian regions. The records demonstrate how performance scaled with changes in query resolution and/or characteristics of input data. \n\nIt is not unrealistic to have DGGS cell queries require days worth of computation, where picking the incorrect algorithm for a particular input can result in a similar maginitude of excessive time spent on computations. Hence, this data was produced to help those computing DGGS cell representation select the appropriate algorithm/algorithmic strategy to save time and computational resources.
