Preparing for new Federal guidelines on data publishing: Evolving Federal initiatives and the NSF Public Access Repository (CDF). In San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) Research Data Services Materials Collection
收藏资源简介:
This presentation was given to the EarthCube Council on Data Facilities around consideration of then newly updated policy on Public Access to the results of Federally funded research, and the expansion of data sharing and grant reporting requirements across agencies. The NSF Public Access Repository (PAR) was designed to meet the Public Access aim for NSF awardees; and with the rollout of PAR 2.0, the agency has launched a “Data Pilot” where PIs can voluntarily submit metadata records for data sets that support peer reviewed publications. A short presentation on the NSF PAR 2.0 and the Data Pilot, along with information on the new Public Access “Nelson memo,” set the stage for discussion on community readiness for these emerging policy changes related to data.
