These files are datasets provided as supplemental material to our research article:Dressed to Gamble: How Poker Drives the Dynamics of Wearables and Visits on Decentraland's Social Virtual World. Journal of Metaverse 5.2 (2025) 145–155. https://doi.org/10.57019/jmv.1673676All of the files are in the <i>parquet</i> format, compressed with the maximum level available using <i>zstd</i>.Wearable TransfersThe following datasets contain the transfers (and related metadata) of Decentraland's avatar wearables made over a two-year period, from June 2021 to May 2023.<b>transfers.parquet</b>: Blockchain transfers of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) representing unique wearable tokens. Each wearable token is related to a single wearable <i>item</i>.<b>items.parquet</b>: An <i>item</i> is a representation of the characteristics of the wearable, such as a specific green t-shirt with a given style. A given item can be associated to one or many tokens, depending on its predefined rarity level. In turn, an item belongs to a <i>collection</i>.<b>collections.parquet</b>: A set of related wearable items. One collection can contain one or many items.<b>sales.parquet</b>: Transfers that are known to be part of a sale transaction on an NFT market.Number and duration of in-world visitsThe dataset <b>parcel_sessions.parquet </b>contains the location of individual Ethereum accounts (i.e., users) within the parcels in which Decentraland's virtual world is divided over a 10-month period, from August 2022 to May 2023. Please note that we segmented the respective sessions’ duration on a daily basis, adding 10 seconds to each to compensate for possible shortenings due to the 20-second polling rate of the original log events. That is to say, the minimum session duration in the dataset is of 10 seconds.<br>
