资源简介:
Deputy Assistant Commissary General Hull arrived in Sydney on 4 January 1819, and commenced duty at the Parramatta branch of the Commissariat about the 25th day of the same month. He was later transferred to the Commissariat at Hobart, Tasmania, where he arrived on 17 September 1819. By June 1823 he had moved to the Commissariat office at Launceston, where he was the officer in charge by 22 August 1826. The letter books contain copies of letters written by Commissary Hull at Parramatta (27 January-27 July 1819), at Hobart (30 September 1819-8 February 1822), and at Launceston (26 June-16 October 1823, 12 September 1827-31 December 1828). Although the letters are of an official nature, Hull apparently regarded the letter books as his own property and took them with him whenever he received a transfer. The books have been used at some time for pressing wildflowers, and as a result some of the pages are damaged. 1819-23, 1827-28 (4/434-36). 3 vols.
