These data details various serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae isolated from children attending Gertudes Children's Hospital in Nairobi. The data also include: susceptibility profiles of the pneumococci to various antibiotic agents, optochin resistance prevalence and risk factors associated with nasopharyngeal carriage of the pneumococcus in the same population. The data was collected between February 2017 to February 2018.
