Length of national highways across Jammu and Kashmir in India FY 2003-2023

At the end of year 2022, the national highways length across the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir was around 2.5 thousand kilometers. National highways are constructed and governed by the National Highway Authority of India. The highways made up a share of about two percent of the total Indian roads and carried about 40 percent of the traffic. During the same period, the south Asian country had a total national highway length of around 145 thousand kilometers.
