Long Read Sequencing of TB genomes

Description: Nanopore sequencing of TB genomes across all 7 lineages from a clinical reference set of TB genomes. The goal of this study was to understand diversity across these lineages with a special focus on resolving difficult to sequence regions of TB genomes using short read sequencing. Long read sequencing data was also cleaned , assembled and polished, and variability across the lineages were assessed. We characterize variation across PE/PPE genes and show how these variations are lineage specific and how they relate to the immune system's response to TB.
