AB617 East Oakland - Rent Burden

This data comes from the U.S. Census Bureau’s Table B25070: Gross Rent as a Percentage of Household Income in the Past 12 Months, part of the 2018–2022 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Estimates. The universe for this table includes renter-occupied housing units and provides data on the percentage of renters’ household income spent on housing costs. The data are based on Census Tracts within the East Oakland CERP Community Boundary, as well as the broader City of Oakland and Alameda County. This dataset was used in the AB617 East Oakland Community Emission Reduction Plan (CERP) Community Description.
