This series primarily documents the movements of prisoners between wards or centres it also includes the on duty notation of prison officers.  The predecessor to the Senior Assistant Superintendent (SAS) is the Chief Prison Officer (CPO).  The record is handwritten into a non pre-printed bound volume.  The record includes a daily date then a time interval. Incidents or issues are usually recorded in red ink and/or may be highlighted by asterisk (*)
