资源简介:
This dataset consists of metagenomic sequencing data obtained from tobacco leaves fermented with either sterile water or the Bacillus velezensis HJ-16 bacterial suspension for 48 hours. The study aimed to explore the effects of microbial fermentation on the microbial community structure, functional genes, and metabolic pathways involved in tobacco flavor formation. Samples were collected following solid-state fermentation to capture the dynamic changes in microbial communities and their functional potential.Metagenomic DNA was extracted from the tobacco leaf samples and sequenced using the Illumina platform. The dataset includes raw sequencing reads, as well as processed data containing predicted open reading frames (ORFs), gene abundance profiles, functional annotations, and pathway predictions. Additionally, pathway enrichment analyses were conducted to identify key metabolic pathways influenced by microbial fermentation, offering insights into the role of Bacillus velezensis in improving the sensory properties of tobacco leaves. This dataset provides a valuable resource for research on microbial fermentation, plant-microbe interactions, and tobacco flavor formation, supporting further investigation into microbial contributions to agricultural product processing.
