Dataset for studying the influence of wave action on applications of ocean alkalinity enhancement on sandy beaches

The dataset provided herein is associated with the manuscript: "Influence of Wave Action on applications of Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement on sandy beaches".

In total 9 CSV files are provided. These 9 files contain all original data with measurements made during this study. Files "Experiment 1", "Experiment 2", ..., "Experiment 8" contain alkalinity, pH, salinity, temperature, and dissolved silicate data from the eight experiments conducted in this study. These data were used for carbonate chemistry calcuations presented in the manuscript. Please note that salinity was only measured in one batch of seawater and all Experiments were assigned with the value measured in this batch. Furthermore, no dissolved silicate data is available for Experiments 4 and 8 and default values of 15 µmol/L were assumed in these Experiments. The file "Particle_volume_distribution" contains data of particle volume distribution of all sand materials used in the study with upper and lower bounds from repeat measurements.
