VPRS 12439 Accounts Paid Ledger (Roads and Bridges Branch)

From 1877, the responsibility for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges was assumed by the Roads and Bridges Branch of the Department of Public Works (VA 669) of the Board of Land and Works (VA 744).This series contains the details of the payment of accounts relating to works projects undertaken by the Roads and Bridges Branch. Details include the contract and a description of the service and supply, the amount of the voucher and when sent to the Treasury and the relationship between this payment and the total expenditure and the quarterly estimate under which the voucher was passed.This series was formerly registered as Units 26 and 27 of VPRS 1143 Ledgers.
