Bioprospecting endophytic bacteria in sugarcane cultivars

In this study, we performed a metagenomic survey of the bacterial endophytic communities from stalks of two of the most economically important sugarcane cultivars produced in Mexico and a local variety with low yields. The results indicate that bacterial endophyte communities were notably influenced by the cultivar, as a significant difference in richness and composition was observed among them.
