The Nanostring nCounter gene expression assay was used to investigate the molecular signalling of host to Covid-19 infection, from Indian Cohort. The study revealed several biomarkers with strong predictive performance to differentiate Covid-19 infection from healthy controls and markers to differentiate between Covid-19 infection from other flu like symptoms. The experiment included samples from 4 different groups, Covid-19 infection at time of diagnosis, Covid-19 infection after 14 days, Negative controls or other flu-like symptoms and healthy controls. Sufficient amount of RNA was extracted suitable for NanoString custom assay and after subjecting to quantity and quality check it was proceeded for NanoString nCounter gene expression profiling assay. Total samples- 11 with each group having 2 biological replicates except for healthy control which had 3 biological replicates..
