3 islands were sampled for eDNA detection of macroalgae wuing the 18S v7 reigon - Capraia (S), Pianosa (P) and Gianutri (G) each island had 2 areas A1 and A2 and samples were taken from above the canopy (D) and at the surface (S). Samples were 1L of water each which were then filtered immediately through 0.22um filters. DNA was then extracted from the filters using a Qiagen Powersoil Pro kit and sent for sequencing with Novogene Europe on an illumina novaseq. The sequences here are raw reads from the macjome alongside trimmed variants of the reads.
