VIT - Lepidotheca (Museum of Natural History of Álava) - Euskadi Nature Information System

The Lepidoteca of the Museum of Natural Sciences of Álava contains 80,000 specimens, 75,600 of them in database, belonging to 5,831 taxa. The collection began in 1974 and the main collectors have been Ibon de Olano, Juan María Marcos, Sigfrido Serrano, José María Salazar, Javier Gastón, Tomás Molina, Txema Revilla, Jesús Méndez Garnica, Fernando de Juana, José Sebastián Estévez, Fidel Fernández Rubio, Diego Sánchez Miyares and Mario Sarsa.
