Developing an integrated technology for subsurface hydrogen harvesting through reservoir creation and management

This project aims to develop a method for extracting hydrogen by using carbon dioxide to supply reactants to the subsurface and recover hydrogen. The approach involves creating a hydrogen reservoir via carbon dioxide mineralization, enhancing long-term hydrogen production. The team will focus on controlling hydrogen output from a geological reservoir by employing carbon dioxide fracturing and mineralization, which will generate or create new surfaces. Combining artificial reservoirs with biological stimulation could result in a unique and highly controlled system for geological hydrogen management.
