Supplementary Materials for "User Experience and Motivation in a Gamified Mini-CAVE Activity for Security and Safety Education"

This record contains the final supplementary materials supporting the manuscript User Experience and Motivation in a Gamified Mini-CAVE Activity for Security and Safety Education. The study examined post-task user experience and motivational appraisal among 134 university students following a gamified activity conducted in a compact Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (mini-CAVE). Participants completed one integrated questionnaire comprising the User Experience in Immersive Virtual Environments (UX in IVE) questionnaire and six selected subscales of the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI). The repository includes: Supplementary Material S1 – the full UX in IVE questionnaire structure, item wording, scoring rules, reverse-coding decisions, and identification of the 68 items included in the nine composite subscales; Supplementary Material S2 – the IMI questionnaire structure, the 37 administered items, scoring procedures, reverse-coding rules, and context-specific wording adaptations; Supplementary Material S3 – the final participant-level analytical dataset for 134 participants, including raw questionnaire responses and calculated composite scores; Supplementary Material S4 – sensitivity analyses for the regression models predicting Judgement, including results obtained after exclusion of the comparatively influential observation P124. Questionnaire responses were collected anonymously. No directly identifying personal information is included in the dataset.
