我单位经营的印刷品产品多年以来在市场广受欢迎,为更好了解不同区域的顾客对印刷品产品的市场需求情况,我单位对相关印刷品产品的需求弹性数据进行采集计算。采集相关印刷品产品在某一时间段的需求数据和价格数据,得到该印刷品产品的需求价格弹性,如果印刷品产品需求量变动的比率大于价格变动的比率,那么印刷品产品需求富有弹性,说明顾客对于价格变化的敏感程度,弹性越大,需求对价格变化越敏感,本行业所有企业可以适当的降低印刷品产品价格来获得较多的收益。如果印刷品产品需求缺乏弹性,本行业所有企业可以适当的提高印刷品产品价格来获得较多的收益。该项数据对本行业所有企业的市场营销决策有重要意义。1.数据采集:采集相关印刷品产品在某一时间段的需求数据和价格数据,按照顾客的区域进行整理归纳,得到该印刷品产品在不同区域的需求量变动数值和价格变化数值。 2.算法规则:对采集得到的数据按照如下公式进行计算:需求弹性系数Ed=-(△Q/Q)÷(△P/P),得到需求弹性系数。式中:Q表示产品的需求量,单位为份;P表示产品的价格,单位为元;△Q表示需求量同比变动值,单位为份;△P表示价格同比变动值,单位为元。取需求弹性系数的绝对值|Ed|作为分析数据时的参考系数。 3.数据分析:根据|Ed|的数值可分析该印刷品产品的需求价格弹性。(1)|Ed|=1(单位需求价格弹性),说明需求量变动幅度与价格变动幅度相同;(2)1<|Ed|<∝(需求富有弹性),说明需求量变动幅度大于价格变动幅度;(3)0<|Ed|<1(需求缺乏弹性),说明需求量变动幅度小于价格变动幅度;(4)|Ed|→0(需求完全无弹性),这表示不管价格怎样变动,需求量总是固定不变;(5)|Ed|→∝(需求完全有弹性),表示在既定价格之下,需求量可以任意变动。
Print products offered by our organization have enjoyed widespread market popularity for years. To gain a better understanding of regional customer demand for these print products, our team collected and calculated demand elasticity data for relevant print offerings. We gathered demand and price data for a specified time period to derive the price elasticity of demand (PED) for the print products. When the percentage change in quantity demanded of a print product exceeds the percentage change in its price, the product is categorized as having elastic demand, reflecting customer sensitivity to price fluctuations: the higher the elasticity, the more sensitive demand is to price changes. In this scenario, all enterprises in the industry can appropriately lower product prices to achieve greater revenues. Conversely, if the print product has inelastic demand, all enterprises in the industry can appropriately raise product prices to generate higher revenues. This dataset holds critical implications for the marketing decision-making of all firms in the industry.
1. Data Collection: Collect demand and price data for relevant print products over a specified time period, then organize and categorize the data by customer region to obtain the changes in quantity demanded and price fluctuations across different regions.
2. Algorithmic Rules: Compute the collected data using the following formula to obtain the demand elasticity coefficient:
Demand Elasticity Coefficient ( E_d = -frac{Delta Q / Q}{Delta P / P} )
Where:
( Q ): Quantity demanded of the product, unit: copies;
( P ): Price of the product, unit: yuan (CNY);
( Delta Q ): Year-on-year change in quantity demanded, unit: copies;
( Delta P ): Year-on-year change in price, unit: yuan (CNY).
The absolute value ( |E_d| ) of the demand elasticity coefficient is used as the reference coefficient for data analysis.
3. Data Analysis: The price elasticity of demand for the print products can be analyzed based on the value of ( |E_d| ):
(1) ( |E_d| = 1 ) (Unitary Price Elasticity of Demand): Indicates that the magnitude of change in quantity demanded matches that of price change;
(2) ( 1 < |E_d| < infty ) (Elastic Demand): Indicates that the magnitude of change in quantity demanded exceeds that of price change;
(3) ( 0 < |E_d| < 1 ) (Inelastic Demand): Indicates that the magnitude of change in quantity demanded is less than that of price change;
(4) ( |E_d| o 0 ) (Perfectly Inelastic Demand): Meaning that the quantity demanded remains fixed regardless of price fluctuations;
(5) ( |E_d| o infty ) (Perfectly Elastic Demand): Meaning that the quantity demanded can change arbitrarily at a given price level.
