Saccharopolyspora erythraea D strain:D Genome sequencing and assembly

Saccharopolyspora erythraea is a Gram-positive bacterium could produce a wide range of secondary metabolites with biological activities including antibiotics. However, this microorganism must often be genetically improved for higher production before they can be used in an industrial setting. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the industrial hyper-producers strong mutator Saccharopolyspora erythraea D. Through the analysis of the sequence may help us to understand the mechanism of the high producing of erythromycin and investigate the strategy for further improving the strain.
