Spo11-oligo mapping of double-strand breaks in pch2 and sir2 mutants

The Spo11-generated double-strand breaks (DSBs) that initiate meiotic recombination are non-randomly distributed across the genome. Here, we use Spo11-oligonucleotide complexes, a byproduct of DSB formation, to map the distribution of meiotic DSBs in pch2 and sir2 mutant strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
启动减数分裂重组的Spo11产生的双链断裂(double-strand breaks, DSBs)在全基因组范围内呈非随机分布。本研究利用双链断裂形成过程中的副产物Spo11-寡核苷酸复合物(Spo11-oligonucleotide complexes),对酿酒酵母(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)pch2与sir2突变菌株中的减数分裂双链断裂分布进行了图谱绘制。
