The genetic composition of the laboratory colonies often diverges from their original source population due to founder effect of a restricted population size, and laboratory conditions imposing selective pressures which are distinct from those normally encountered in the wild.. This project aims at analyzing at the genomic level a colony of field-collected Anopheles coluzzii from Mali and reared in the laboratory for 7 generations.
