The microporous conductors dataset is an outcome of a project to investigate the development of porous, lightweight materials that exhibit the property of redox-activity (electronic conductivity) through metal-organic frameworks. The goal of the project is to design metal-organic framework materials, in which electron conduction is achived through the backbone of the framework, rather than the porous structure of the framework. Applications of this technology could include lightweight conductors for electronic sensors or novel electronic conductors. Spectroscopic data is captured using a CARY 5000 UV-Vis-nearIR spectrometer, a Harrick Omni-Diff Probe with Fibre Optic Coupler, and a BASi Epsilon Electrochemical analyser. Instrument data is converted to .CSV format, and is manipulated using data analysis and visualisation software programmes including Origin, SigmaPlot and MathCAD. Analysed data is exported to .JPEG format for publication. For further information, please refer to the associated publications.
