Life-long male fertility is maintained by balancing proliferation and differentiation. Maintaining genomic integrity is crucial. DNA damage, for instance causedby chemo- or radiotherapy, might result in male infertility. In this study, the molecular mechanisms underlying the difference in resistance against radiotherapy between differentiated and undifferentiated spermatogonia is investigated. This is done in a suitable mouse system.
