(A) 1.2% non-denaturing agarose gel electrophoresis of purified total HGF RNA. From left to right: lane 1 – MilleniumTM RNA size marker, lane 2 – 1μg RNA, lane 3 – 2.5μg RNA. 28S rRNA and 18S rRNA band clarity with lack of degradation on the agarose gel suggests purity of the isolated RNA samples. (B) HGF RNA spectrophotometry analyses. Absorbance was measured by an Agilent Technologies Cary 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer and a NanoDrop 2000 spectrophotometer. Standard deviation indicated. Total RNA yield was calculated from 5 X 10^5 cells. Pure RNA has an A260/A280 value range of 1.7-2.1 and an A260/A230 value of approximately 2.0.
