3D MHD simulations for a representative case of Star-Planet Interaction (SPI), with constraints derived from available observations of the system HD 189733 with XMM-Newton and HST/COS (Pillitteri, et al., 2015, ApJ 805, 52). Simulations were performed with already awarded computation time at Marconi-KNL (CINECA) for a first set of SPI cases.
