This dataset supports a comparative analysis of the shielding effectiveness of gaskets using a tuned dipole antenna (IEEE Std. 299) and a log-periodic antenna (MIL DTL 83528G). It includes 3D full-wave simulations with the Finite-Difference-Time-Domain solver and experimental validation from 200 MHz to 1 GHz. Near-field sensors in simulations assessed shielding performance at various angles and locations, while the experimental setup focused on a 0° impinging angle. The data set shows a good correlation between simulations and experiments, indicating similar shielding effectiveness for both antennas. Despite IEEE Std. 299 recommending tuned dipole antennas, log-periodic antennas are also effective and practical.
