资源简介:
The Acer Fergii Site, 48CA3227, Campbell County, Wyoming, located a few kilometers north of Antelope Creek, is a Late Plains Archaic and Late Prehistoric campsite. Loam and clay sediments give way to exposed and weathered shales across parts of the site. Local vegetation includes sparse sagebrush, short prairie grasses, and prickly pear cactus. Acer Fergii Site investigations included 25 block excavations, totaling 192 square meters, which identified hearths, lithic debitage and tools, cobble tools, and animal bone fragments (Munson and Radermacher 2012). One sample from Station 2, Block S2-B5, Feature 1, 40 cmbs was submitted for pollen and phytolith analyses. Dating to 1170 ± 30 BP, Feature 1, a cylindrical pit hearth, yielded lithic debitage and bone fragments.
