VPRS 15132 Outward Letterbook

This series contains copies of outward letters of the Shires of Bulleen, Templestowe and Doncaster. The Shire of Bulleen was renamed the Shire of Templestowe during 1891. In 1915, the Shires of Templestowe and Doncaster united, and the municipality was called the Shire of Doncaster for the next 10 years. The final volumes in this series include correspondence of the Shire of Templestowe before the shires united, and some correspondence of the Shire of Doncaster for several years after amalgamation. Related outward correspondence can be found in letter books of the Shire of Doncaster and Shire of Doncaster and Templestowe, 1890 - 1945.The records in each volume are arranged chronologically by the dates when the letters were written. The final volumes in the series have overlapping date ranges, indicating that more than one volume was used for copies of outward letters during certain periods.Some volumes contain indexes to the names or titles of persons and organisations to whom letters are addressed.
