This series consists of correspondence files concerning major policy and legislation matters, as well as records relating to committees, community relations, cultural activities, and the monitoring of government proposals implemented.The series includes some legacy records from departments which came under the control of the Department of Premier and Cabinet when the department was created in 1988. These include the Infrastructure Implementation Group (IIG), Office of Olympic Co-Ordination (OOC), Public Employment Office (PEO), Office of Public Management (OPM), Corporate Services Reform (CSR) and Review & Reform Division (RRD). (1)The files are largely comprised of A4 papers or bound documents. Most files have an item number that incorporates an abbreviation of the department name, the year, and a classification number. For example DPC09/01419-001 was created by the Department of Premier and Cabinet in 2009. Some files have the prefix ‘COI’ which refers to ‘Committee of Inquiry’.
