In the second most populous country in the world, role playing and mobile MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) games have been thriving. As of 2023, over 46 percent of the market revenue among the top 100 mobile games was generated by these two segments, whereas only around four percent of revenue came from card games.
